I have been "seriously" training this week, with the help of my kids. The first day, Jordan was my timer. I started out with a 5 minute warm-up (walk) then did 10 sets: run for 1 min, walk for 1 min; followed by a 10-minute cool down. He did a great job, but Lexie was pretty jealous. So the next day, she appointed herself "coach". She takes the position VERY seriously. Rather than running beside me, she decided to bring along a whistle! ARGH!!!! I hate that thing. Every minute for 20 minutes straight, she would blow it, whether she was 20 feet behind me or right next to me. I didn't mind when it meant I could start walking again, but when it signalled time to start running, I want to rip it out of her mouth and jump on it.
We were quite a sight, running the "back roads" of Eagle Mountain. Hunter and his friend, Jackson, were zooming around on their bikes, while Lexie, a.k.a The Whistle Queen, was tooting like crazy. She has announced that she will continue to be my coach. So, if you hear my whistle, you can either laugh AT me or cry WITH me!!!! :-)

I will take Lexie as my trainer, or I could just come with you. Charlie, as hard as he tries, just hasn't gotten the hang of the whistle, or the stopwatch. What can I expect from a dog?
Also, could I get a copy of your training schedule? thanks
I would love to have you come with me. Doug and I went out tonight. He was on his bike with Krissy while I was jogging. She kept running around him getting the leash wrapped around the kickstand. She also tried to run beside me during the running portion. I can't tell you how many times I almost tripped over her. By the way, your suggestion made "things" much better. Thanks for the "support." I forwarded the training schedule to you. Enjoy!!!! :-)
Oh, that's funny. It's every child's dream...payback!! So, I get the "things" and "support" how come I can't get "magic"???? I want my brain back and my body too!
i don't know what kind of "support" you have, but you might look into the "Wacoal" brand,"CWX" if you haven't already (online at Nordstrom).
