Tonight, I was lying in bed--I go to bed pretty early these days. Anyway, Jordan, my 13-year-old (did you catch that?? 13--a TEENAGER), came into the side of my bed and with his squeaky/masculine wannabe voice and the growth of peach fuzz beginning to show over his top lip said to me:
"I can't go to sleep yet, Mom, I haven't given you a kiss."
Then he leaned over, kissed me on the cheek, and went off to bed. Sigh. . . that kid still knows how to wrap his Mommy around his finger. Life is good. . .
