My Girlfriend's Back... :)

So, my mom gave me great news Saturday! My cute little hair stylist, Robbie, has been out on maternity leave forEVER (you would think if you saw my hair these days!). Since the good news, I have had that song stuck in my head. I know those aren't the right lyrics, but it works, right? Actually, in my head, the song is, "My girlfriend's back and I'm gonna get my hair cut. Hey now, hey now, my Robbie's back!" Seriously, I always have either random songs or, dare I say it, cheers, resonating through my brain. For example, today, Lexie was complaining because she had noone to play with so....."Lonely, I am so lonely, I have nobody to call my own!"

Or...Doug told me I looked nice the other day..."Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?" I admit, that one was a stretch, but you get the point!

When my kids are being pokey and we need to head out the door, I start in on the dreaded..."Big G, Little o, go, let's go!" Or, "Let's go, let's go, L-E-T-S-G-O, let's go!" (To which I frequently hear whining and moaning--"Not another cheer, Mom, PLEASE!")

Occasionally, if there is not an appropriate song or cheer to fit the situation, I have been known to make one up. So, if you are talking to me sometime, ask me what you are making me sing and/or cheer in my head. If you are unlucky enough, I might even sing it for you! :)

How about "We're the hope of America, When there's hope there's America....." Get that stuck in your head for awhile :)

Done! And...thanks??!?

BTW Abby, a song WITH actions! It doesn't get any better than that! :) That alone can bring HOURS of humiliation to my children--especially when I practice Hope of America songs in the car. That is Mikayla's FAVORITE!!!!

I'm pretty sure that we have mom to thank for the singing thing. This morning as I was opening up my curtains I was singing "let the sun shine in." William laughed and said I sounded like grandma...huh.

Just another reason we made good roommates...same thing happens around here. I tend to sing out loud more often, especially if it annoys my kids.
